Your child's teacher can print a Student Diagnostic Report Enterprise Test which gives the following information (copied directly from a Student Diagnostic Enterprise Test).

Star Reading scores[edit]

SS (Scaled Score)
Based on the difficulty of the questions and the number of correct responses
PR (Percentile Rank)
How your student ranks nationally in the same grade
FGL (Functional Grade Level)
Student's mastery of grade-level Common Core State Standards
GE (Grade Equivalent)
Represented in decimal format. A score of 1.8 represents a first grader in the eighth month of the school year
IRL (Instructional Reading Level)
Also written in decimal format
Est. ORF (Estimated Oral Reading Fluency)
Number of words the student is likely to be able to read per minute correctly on a grade level appropriate text

Common Core State Standard domain scores[edit]

  • Craft and Structure
  • Integration of Knowledge and Ideas
  • Vocabulary Acquisition and Use
