Sagamore Space Day
As part of STEM at Sagamore, let's have a Space Day!
Discussion takes place in the volunteer group (email • archives • subscribe & more), and notes/documentation should be compiled on this page (just hit "edit").
This year (2013-2014) all classes will take a half hour on both Thursday and Friday, May 8 & 9, to do something special; Fernbank Science Center will make a presentation in a portable planetarium, and a scale model of the solar system will be experienced on the school field.

History
Space Day at Sagamore began when 2013 kindergarten parent Brian Gardiner started thinking about STEM at Sagamore, which led to discovering the NASA Exploration Design Challenge, which led to a meeting with Principal Martin where she suggested making an entire Space Day!
