In the service of Sagamore PTA Google Sites notes, try to choose the best Google Sites base theme (since that's where important non-customizable style lives). November 2013.

  1. Create a new site
  2. Template: "Blank template"
  3. Edit the Home page with some markup to test (just run through the GUI Format options)
  4. Try different base themes and take note in the table below

Notes:

  • The GUI font size selection in points (pt) actually sets html of '<font size="1-6">'
  • The theme font size selection specifies new size in pixels (13px for 10pt, 16px for 12pt)
  • Custom "Entire page" "text" stomps on header sizes too (try "Content area" (and "Gadget area") instead)
